Yoshi's Snapshots
page 1
This first set of shots are all from Yoshi's
first night home. He was 8 weeks old (to the day) when he
arrived on January 12. After the long flight from St. Louis
with Lauraye (the breeder), Yoshi has wet in his crate. He
seemed truly embarrassed to have done so and was being rather
shy. When we got home we took him straight to the back yard,
removed the top from the crate and let him walk out on his
own. He immediately started attacking leaves in the backyard.
After his playtime we moved upstairs and
gave him a bath. I got stuck giving him the bath because Dan
was afraid it would traumatize him. He figured mom could be
the bad guy. After the bath dan wrapped Yoshi in a towel and
cuddled with him on the sofa. Yoshi fell right asleep. It
took him over an hour to dry off. New owners be warned...Eskies
have lots of fur.
Once he woke up from his nap we introduced
him to some of the toys we had purchased and let him play.
We gave him some food, and he immediately jumped into his
food dish to eat it. Apparently he was still worried about
his littermates trying to take his share. He has never jumped
in his dish since that first night. I'm so glad we got pictures.

Note to all. This is a
doctored photo. There is no way he would hold still long
enough to put this costume on. |
